In 1986 when my friends were saving money to buy a car or a motorcycle I saved and bought a new Zeiss Standard 16. Did some photography using a Minolta SRT 101 with homemade camera adapters. Over time the 16, not wanting to be alone, called some fiends in to join the fun. A Standard 14, a no- name petrographic and a stereoscope joined in. Then as work and family took my time, interest in microscopy faded away. Not all was lost however. While searching the Internet recently ran across one of Oliver’s presentations. That was it. His enthusiasm and expertise pulled me in. Now I am back in the field learning about digital microphotography. Happy to be part of this group.

Welcome Flatman!

I have a Zeiss Standard 16 as well and it’s friends include 2 Ortholux 1s, 2 AO 10s, an AO 410, an AO 150 and a Leitz Labolux.

They sure are social

:-)

Hi Flatman, welcome
Now I am back in the field learning about digital microphotography.
I think you will find Digital cameras are a real boon in microscopy - do look into stacking software.
