I recently bought an Omax microscope and am very excited about my new hobby
After dabbling in Macro photography for a while, I am keen to explore Photomicrography.
Looking forward to learn from all of you and share my experiences as well.
I am from Johannesburg South Africa.

Welcome, Johann. Macro photography and microscopy/photomicrography complement each other very well, I think.

You have found the best forum on the web. I hope to get some advice
from you, I will be visiting Nigeria next near. Johannesburg was on the list,
but we had to downsize a bit.

Nice photos, especially of the grasshopper (I've never seen one like that) and the jumping spider.

Johann,
Those macro shots are very nice!
All are single shots on live subjects, I assume?
What lens (combo), Canon MPE?
Hand held/flash?

Welcome! And you make me salivate about being able to generate photos that even I can tell are great.

Thanks for all the positive feedback
@ zzffnn: All photos were shot using Canon 600D with 100mm Canon macro lens except gecko, I used 70-200 Zoom lens - hand held, no flash. All single shots, this was done before I knew there is such a thing as focus stacking
Grasshopper:
f/6.7
100mm
Shutter speed: 1/900 sec
Gecko:
f/2.8
200mm
ISO 400
Shutter speed: 1/200 sec
Spider:
f/4.0
100mm
Shutter speed: 1/750 sec
Bee:
f/5.6
100mm
Shutter speed: 1/1250sec
Hope this is helpful

Wow awesome photos.
I'm fairly ignorant of macro photography although I'm guessing, given your shutter speed that this were "simple" hand held shots?
Amazing photos though.
I love the spider.
But I do like spiders

I have the M837ZL - it comes with DIN achromatic objectives - which i would like to upgrade to PLAN objectives, will do some research to see what would be the best objectives to get - once i saved up
