Delaminated?

.
These are the eyepieces on a Zeiss GLF that is for sale. Would like a second opinion on whether they are delaminated or not.

Very hard to tell, although I see a dark irregular smudge central in the left one. Any chance of getting her to hold them on a thin sheet of while paper against a window?

It's hard to tell with such a busy back ground. In most Zeiss objectives with delamination, you see them around the edges.

Thanks. Will see if the seller can provide additional photos with a white background.

I don't know about Zeiss eyepieces. I know about the objectives but are the eyepieces considered as prone to delamination?

Unfortunately: yes in particular the high corrected ones.

Difficult to tell. Old Zeiss eyepieces are prone to delamination, mostly near the edges. But if this is the case, there is a partial remedy: dissassemble the eyepiece (a quite straightforward operation) and wet the sides of the delaminated elements with good quality immersion oil. It will seep by capilarity into the delaminated space, making it invisible.
