Fix the slide holder

#1 Post by microb » Fri Apr 02, 2021 10:51 pm

The slide holder floats a 1.5mm above the surface and 2mm at the end.

What is the way to fix this? I can't figure out a good place to shim or bend anything.

Microb - It likely got bent at some point. Use a straightedge, find the inflection point, and bend it back. Ideally, it just barely floats above the stage.

Took the slide clip off, and then found two screws in the back.
Putting a notecard under the clip, I reset the tramming.
I then rip the notecard in half and double it up, and retrammed.

That's a good idea. I have one that is acting up a bit. I can try that. One of the nicest things about this forum is the sharing of problems and solutions. Everyone can benefit.
