Help Identifying a Leitz Micoscope

#1 Post by Narogen » Sat Jun 19, 2021 12:59 pm

Hi everyone,
I came across this microscope recently and despite searching could not identify it. Perhaps it is some sort of petrological microscope with both a heated and a polarisation stage? Or maybe its designed to charecterise optics?

Any help would be appreciated.

If abgesstimt means a matched objective, perhaps it is a comparison microscope of some kind. Leitz made several of those over the years. Lot of pol stuff on it though looks like, and transmitted light is no good for bullet casings...
