If you search ebay for rms to m27 you'll find adapter rings. Physical size of the bigger objectives and their working distance is probably the main limiting factor. Of course BD objectives will probably not get any light for their outer cylinder light path. I've only seen ring mirrors for Mitutoyo's M42 objectives. They build that into their four position turrets.

If you are concerned about the back focal plan getting perfect Köhler illumination from the epi which is designed to have a conjugate plane match the objectives back focal plane, using a ring adapter which would throw that off doesn't seem to bother manufacturers. Thermo FTIR microscopes use Olympus parts, and they added a 2cm RMS to RMS brass tube to make the 10x objective be parfocal with their large mirror based IR objectives. So the lighting is probably fine, given that they didn't seem to notice. And that's how they sell those set-ups.
