Hi everyone,
I've been playing around with focus stacking lately, but have been having trouble with vibration/movement since I'm changing the focus manually. As far as I can tell the main culprit is the pillar stand: there's a bit of "flex" at the point where the pillar attaches to the base, so there's a bit of backlash when I place/remove my hand on/from the focus knobs (the focusing block itself has minimal backlash, luckily). No amount of tightening the pillar/base bolts helps, and I'm not ready to splurge on a WeMacro MicroMate to automate the focusing process. Can anyone recommend a more robust stand? This is the scope I'm using, for reference: https://microscopecentral.com/collectio ... tal-camera
Thanks!

Re: Pillar stand recommendations
Any newer used Nikon or Olympus should have a compatible 32mm post and be a bit better built.
