Hi,
I have a pair of eyepieces made by Meopta Czechoslovakia in the 1960s (?) labeled "O 10x". Would someone happen to know what the letter O could mean? Other eyepieces Meopta made are obvious - H for Huygens, K for compensating, P for projection or photographic or maybe periplan. Meopta used to be a Leitz parts supplier afaik, and they used 170 mm tube length for their own microscopes because of that history. Did any "O" eyepieces from Leitz exist? Polish PZO also made some "O" eyepieces.
The optical design is like a Kellner, so the O doesn't stand for orthoscopic. The body has a nice conical design (aka volcano-top). No coatings.
Thanks!

Yes. There were Leitz eyepieces with an O on them. The one's I have seen were for the 37mm parfocal 170mm system. 10 and 16X periplan wth an designed to pick up the intermediate image 18mm down the tube, I think.
