Does the crop of the 2.5x NFK eyepiece obscure the curvature of non-Plan Olympus Objectives?

Hello I have a question with regards to the use of non-Plan finite Olympus objectives for the BH2 with the 2.5NFK Eyepiece. If I am using a APC sensor camera, does the excessive crop remove the curvature of the aforementioned objectives? I am considering the purchase of either the DApo Oil 40x 1.30NA or even the UVFL with the same specs and I wonder if the mismatch of the APC/2.5NFK in this case would be an advantage?

The crop will certainly help. In addition, if you plan to do focus stacking that will also make most of the curvature seen in a single shot go away.
