BX41TF use without fluorescence?

Hi everyone.... quick question.... while I enjoy my Leica stereoscope, I am looking to eventually pickup something with much higher magnification 100X10 or 1000x.... Would a BX41TF with trinocular setup and camera be something I should consider? Is it possible to disable the fluorescence feature and just use the scope as a darkfield and phase contrast microscope? What about polarization ability? I might only use the fluorescence feature on rare occasions.
