Spencer fluorite objetive

I just received some phase contrast lenses and among them was this nice little Spencer fluorite 1.8mm 1.30 homogeneous objetive. If someone could kindly throw some information concerning this one it would be very fun and interesting to learn something about it
thank You.

Re: Spencer fluorite objetive
I think you will likely want the compensating eyepieces 167 or 168 with that one, or perhaps the planoscopic.

Re: Spencer fluorite objetive
Lean towards planoscopics , which I use with the same objective on a Spencer #2. Compens seem bent towards the overcorrection of the apochromats a little too much.
Oddly, Spencer catalogued a 1.8mm 1.30 along with a 1.8mm 1.25 fluorite at the same time?
