Leitz Laborlux s need help

#1 Post by Sabatini » Sun Mar 12, 2023 6:28 pm

I am fixing the leitz laboelux s focusing mechanism but the pellets are cylindrical and now I didn't check well if they go lying down or slanting.
What is the correct way to put them please ?
Thanks

They are usually "standing" and crisscrossed to provide lateral stability while still rolling.

...But now thinking about it a little more carefully, are they all on the same side or are they crossed, one to the right and the other to the left, interspersed?

Crossed. Do you also have a spacer to separate groups crossed rollers?

That's it. A bit of grease can help hold them in place for reassembly.
