It's the worst case I've seen, but whenever advertising agencies stage a photo shoot or movie directors a scene in a lab, or prop masters stage anything - it's as if they've never seen or wondered what a biology class or a lab might look like.

Meanwhile, how many of them would equip their good guys or bad guys with this:

I've seen microscope props used in science fiction movies with no objectives yet offering incredible views!! Ultra modern labs featured in movies using antique microscopes, mostly Zeiss or Ao's. So funny!
