I have come to a possession of Zeiss ICM-405/IM-35 stand. I am currently trying to get it operational to the level of my Universal. The stand came with no objectives, but with both illumination systems and 0.6 OA condenser. I need to add specimen holder to the stage, phase condenser and objectives.
Does anyone have experience with these older inverted stands? I know mechanically they will accept standard condensers, but there might be an issue with working distance. Do they accept specimen plate/holders from newer Axiovert units? What about stages? There is not much info on these scopes online, except an article on ICM-405 from 2006. What is general opinion on these scopes?
