National Optical?

Do you have any experience with the "National Optical" brand (part of the "Motic Group")?

I'm somewhat disappointed with my Omax 40x objective performance and would like to try a different objective, if only just for learning experience.
I've found these "National Optical" lens on Amazon, for a price similar to Omax:

Do you think there is a significant chance that one of these will be better than my current non-plan non-"super high contrast" Omax 40x?

Chances are low, as it is not a well-recognized brand.

I do have experience with this line of microscopes. National is the lowest of the Motic lines. Don't expect anything special from either of the two you have cited. Please beware of advertising language. There is nothing "high contrast" about that objective.
