I have recently obtained a used Zeiss Axiostar Plus. The seller packaged it excellently, but it is a refurbished item, likely a teaching microscope or similar. As such it will come with its own quirks, which is fine. I have assembled it and set it up and works wonderfully with one minor issue. The stage has a faint wiggle to it. I have attached a link at the bottom of this post to a video showing the issue.
I have tightened every screw I can find and the wiggle persists. After some examination I believe the wiggle may be the result of the gear perhaps not being quite as tightly pressed against the grooves in the stage control. I have attached a picture showing the part I mean so that there is no confusion. Can anyone think of a way to attempt to remedy this?
