Hello,
I'm a beginner and deciding between the Amscope T490B vs T580B. The 580T is on sale at half the price, while the 490 is still cheaper. I'm a beginner and planning to use it with my camera; what are the main benefits of the 580 series over the 490?

A quick look on Amazon indicates that both have Achromat objectives and neither have Köhler (which makes them much of a muchness) so go with whichever is cheapest.

I'm very beginner, almost no experience. But I'm looking for something decent as I'm very advanced in photography.
Would you recommend something else to start with?

Sadly, there is a common misconception among photographers that a microscope is some sort of lens that one connects to ones camera in order to photograph the micro world.
That is not how it works. You might as well claim to be a basket weaver for all the relevance it has to microscopy.
In order to take (worthwhile) photographs through a microscope you first have to achieve worthwhile images with the microscope, to do that you need to become a microscopist.
Do some reading first.
Have a rummage through the Resources (online, books etc.) section on this forum. There is a lot of good information in it.
Also have a look through Micscape, there are hundreds of articles there: http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/ind ... exmag.html
This is one of them: http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/index.h ... /intro.htm
an actual book: http://www.biology.uoc.gr/courses/BIOL4 ... s/book.pdf
