Leitz Dialux EB

#1 Post by Lutra87 » Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:34 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a dialux EB that I just set up. For some reason, the voltage reading on the front of the stand is only reading 3v and the light seems awful yellow... Does anybody know what might be causing this? I checked the fuses inside for continuity and everything seemed fine. The bulb is super old (probably ~15 years old at this point... Could that be the cause???). Does anybody know what 6v 20W tungsten halogen bulb can be used to replace it?

Thanks!

Nevermind, I think the reason was the filter set on the fluorescence light source adapter. This is annoying though, will I have to take off the fluorescent housing "arm" each time I want to do white light microscopy??
