Micro Music 3: Ciliate Waltz
Micro Music 3: Ciliate Waltz
Hi,
The idea of writing and recording music inspired on the micro world is growing on me. I had this humble but nice video of a dancing ciliate that suddenly moves back and forward in such a gentle way, that I decided to write a Waltz in a jazzy style. I would appreciate it if you help me to identify this ciliate, to give the music its final name.
My equipment is the usual, Amscope b120 and iPhone 5s. I made a two guitars line recording with an Epiphone Joe Pass ii.
Hope you like it and please feel free to make any suggestion about the project!
Javier.

Very nice blend of beautiful music (so impressive! Are you a pro composer?)
I am impressed by the quality of the video. I can't quite achieve it with my Iphone 7
The whole thing is just lovely

Thank you so much. If by a pro you mean that anyone will pay me money for my music, I'm certainly notsmollerthings wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 1:05 pmVery nice blend of beautiful music (so impressive! Are you a pro composer?)

I did study music as a career, and play and teach music for a living.
Regarding the quality of the video, I have mixed feelings... I don't find it great but it is nice what an entry-level setup can deliver. My afocal imaging is kind of random, lots of discards videos to get a decent scene. I'm always trying to get better at slide preparation, which plays a huge role in the outcome.
I saw some of your videos, you are doing great!

Always amazed by composers...
I don't know if you have an app that can access the camera's manual settings on the IPhone (I am using Yamera). Also, I discovered recently there is an iphone version of iMovie. Pretty cool for some fast editing.

Thanks for the advice on those apps, I might give it a go!

Hello
Great job with this music.
In my opinion, it captures the mood and is well synchronized with the movement.
Once upon a time, there was a participant on a Polish forum who also created music for his films.
And when it comes to the quality of your video made with a smartphone, I am impressed.
It reproduces colors nicely.
My camera lags far behind.

Thanks, Microplan. I would like to watch those works from that participant, if possible.microplan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 6:33 amHello

The phone washes out the colors when recording videos. Not happy with the outcome of the videos, a few months ago I started to recover those colors by software simple working on the color saturation. FWIW, I'm attaching a frame from the original video and a frame from the edited video.

I forgot to mention that, of course, chromatic aberration becomes also more evident...

I use digital zoom to avoid vignetting. It's not ideal, but a compromise of my current setup.smollerthings wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 8:31 amBy the way, do you crop when you film or is your eye piece such that you don't have to?
