Diatom and a crustacean video

#1 Post by imkap » Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:50 pm

Here is a video I made a few days ago... I actually already put it in the beginners section, but I'll put it here again. :geek: I feel no one seen it there, YT view count says 5, I think all 5 were mine...

A crustacean 'annoying' a diatom, with music. May be called Annoying crustacean blues or similar :D

Olympus Splan 20x, Jena Projektiv 6.3x and Sony a6000 on a Zeiss GFL.

A nice little video. The creature on the diatom is not a crustacean or an animal. It's a single-celled ciliate, one where the cilia are fused into cirri which act like legs for crawling. There are lots of types like that, but this one is a Euplotes.

Great, thanks... I have seen the legs and thought it was a crustacean or a copepod
