Very nice indeed!

Were you fortunate enough to find these side by side or is it a composite? The reason I ask is while I do come across this type of "close encounter" from time to time, I seldom find them on close to the same focus level. Perhaps that is the reason for the 28 image stack?

Please know that my questions are in no way intended as criticism, simply a desire to learn.

It is a wonderful and successful image. Congratulations.

Yes, they are together as shown in the picture, no composition.
But indeed, slightly on another level, not much.
I could continue stacking to get them both in focus.
When you make the most fantastic discovery, a lot of people want a piece of it...
