Another Poinsettia

As promised, a TS (Transverse section) of a poinsettia with no stains.

First one is with the 10X obj. which shows the view from the epidermis to the pith. I think I mentioned last time that they are hard to section because of their hollow core.

Second image is a closer look at the xylem.

As usual, beautiful! I was surprised as to how much color they retain (and it is a beautiful green).

Very good look in natural colors.
