More from Coralville Lake in Darkfield this time.

AO 10, Ortho Illuminator, 100x Plan Achro Iris Oil, 1096B Toric Darkfield Condenser, Canon 70D Single Frames. Grayscale were captured under green filtration and converted in post processing.

And finally, evidence that I need to fire my Lab Assistant as finding this marine form in my inland river sample is a pretty good indication somebody is doing a shoddy job of getting the dishes clean...... ;^)

That DF scope of yours is seriously cool. Every time you post images like these I have pangs of envy. One of these days... 8-)

Thanks Kurt.

Darkfield can be really beautiful and revealing and within the easy reach of most using masks or relatively inexpensive DF condensers.

Oh, I do DF often enough, but only in lower powers where masks work. I had a DF condenser for my old Spencer Model 13 (160 mm TL), and know how lovely "real" DF looks, but I still never went on up to 100x lenses with it. Having an entire stand dedicated to it is here it's at, and now I'm out of room!

Just lay a piece of plywood over the kitchen sink, and voila, a new scope station! You are welcome. ;^)
