And finally, evidence that I need to fire my Lab Assistant as finding this marine form in my inland river sample is a pretty good indication somebody is doing a shoddy job of getting the dishes clean...... ;^)

That DF scope of yours is seriously cool. Every time you post images like these I have pangs of envy. One of these days... ![Cool 8-)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Darkfield can be really beautiful and revealing and within the easy reach of most using masks or relatively inexpensive DF condensers.
Come to the Dark Side....
Re: Coralville Lake Darkfield
Oh, I do DF often enough, but only in lower powers where masks work. I had a DF condenser for my old Spencer Model 13 (160 mm TL), and know how lovely "real" DF looks, but I still never went on up to 100x lenses with it. Having an entire stand dedicated to it is here it's at, and now I'm out of room!

Just lay a piece of plywood over the kitchen sink, and voila, a new scope station! You are welcome. ;^)KurtM wrote:Oh, I do DF often enough, but only in lower powers where masks work.
