Nice video! Lots of activity going on. When I saw the Cladocera I found myself hoping you were going to use a higher magnification objective. A 25x would have been ideal!
Looking forward to the next one.

Re: Pound life under Zeiss Primostar microscope
Thank you, I I'll see if I can get a 25x objective from Internet. But I always worry about the working distance of high power objective. Afraid objective touch objects.75RR wrote:Nice video! What objectives did your microscope come with?

Sorry, meant with which objectives.
If you have these (see below) then you have 1/2 a mm on the 40x, it may not sound like much but it is plenty to play with, particularly if you don't put too much water on the slide.
Plan-Achromat 4x/0.1 - WD: 6.50 mm
Plan-Achromat 10x/0.25 - WD: 4.39 mm
Plan-Achromat 40x/0.65 - WD: 0.48 mm
Plan-Achromat 100x/1.25 - WD: 0.13 mm

Re: Pound life under Zeiss Primostar microscope
Very nice. I agree a 20X objective or even a 40X objective would work nicely. Plenty of clearance with any low power objective less than 40X.
