A quick birth of a microbe

Hi all,

Not sure what this is but had the camera going. Just swapped out the filters to try different effect.

Had been watching and videoing for about an hour, seen it suck dry a few ciliates(?) then this happened...

Swift 380T using 10x, 20x, 40x & 60x objectives
16mp Microscope Camera (in the post....)
40 ~ 2000 x (more like 200x) LCD electronic microscope (actually very good)
(With home stitched mechanical stage and lighting system)

Thank you. I had the same feeling when I saw that happen!

I was wow already when I was watching it earlier for an hour it had tentacles that lanced the 'prey' then on a higher magnification you could actually see 'stuff' going down the inside of these tentacles draining the prey. wow...then out popped that!
