Re: Prorodon
Really nice video! Because of a mistake by Alfred Kahl, ciliates traditionally assigned to genus Prorodon actually belong in the genus Holophrya. Genus Prorodon now consists mainly of ciliates with wide slit-like mouths supported by a fan of long rods (nematodesmata) and a rather long wormy macronucleus. The macronucleus here is compact and round, and the mouth is not very wide, so this is a holophryid (e.g. Holophrya).
