First Bud from the Tree

The Spring is late in coming this year. Here it is mid-April and the snow is still melting and returning. We had a break in the cycle today so I went out and murdered a tree bud. The first buds of the tree have a message for us as they bloom internally. Their cells glow in the light like jewels.
