Pollen grains with a new photo adapater : Sony MVA-33

#1 Post by chrisimbee » Fri May 07, 2021 11:00 am

Hello guys,

here i am again trying to get better photos with my repaired BH2..
There was a photo adapter SONY MVA-33 given with it and i've just realised that a adapter ring to pu my Nikon D3100 on it was available on ebay.
It was originaly designed for a Sony CCD camera or a standard Sony camera (wich I dont have)..

Here are 2 photos of pollen grains of Prunus .sp : a sample of the very first pollen pellet I collected on my honey bees (observation hive inside my flat)..

The adapter is much better corrected for both spherical and chromatique abberations!! And the Nikon D3100 is dealing quite well with it.

The fact that the whole field is visible makes it interesting when I want to film protists for example...
