On my inspection tour of the mudpuddle, I was greeted this morning by a rush of swarming ciliates the likes of which I'd never seen. There were also small but growing amoebas and the usual background crowd of infinitesimal bacteria and flagellates.

Do you know what species they are? They’re shaped like Coleps, but I think they are too small and too fast.
