Alyssum Stem (Higher Magnification)

#1 Post by Sphaerotilus » Tue Jun 08, 2021 5:46 pm

My previous focus stacked image of the stem of an Alyssum flower was taken with a 4x objective. Here is a photo stacked image I made using a 10x objective. It was put together in Helicon Focus from 28 full frame raw files. The final image is highly magnified compared to what I see in the microscope eyepiece. The diameter of the white projections are about 15 microns. Does anyone know what these are called?

Superb ! ... as is the lower magnification image

Real sense of depth in both of them.
