A spectacular failure.

#1 Post by The QCC » Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:59 pm

I initially started out photographing the grain dust using a Labomed CxL microscope with an OMAX 10MP camera and ToupView for image capture.

Because focusing required several images for a stack I used the Enhanced Depth of Field (EDF) function of Toupview for the first stack of five photos.
When I saw this image as the final result, I switched capture software and microscopes.

This is not the first time Toupview has messed up the stacking process, just one of the better results.

But it makes for an unusual and pretty (at least to my eyes) picture!
