My friend insists on trying to keep some plants viable by rooting them in water. Inevitably after a few days, the jar becomes infested with goodies for me. In this case, the water quickly filled with colpoda, a ciliate that lives on the stems of plants. I could see the effects of colpoda stirring the water around at high velocity. The bacteria were streaming in a rich biological soup.

Thank you !
I'm new to microscopy and have been doing just that, looking at water in root water and found Colpoda in it but didn't know what it's called.
