In the smaller mudpuddle, I found continued activity by masses of bacteria organizing biofilm. Many small flagellates also fill the medium. I found some larger ciliates as well, but they seemed to be in distress and trapped by the masses of bacteria. It's a strange and dramatic scene.

Very interesting video. The biofilm seems indeed quite crowded and dense. Which equipment have you used ?

My microscope is an Amscope 500c. I have a Hayear camera mounted on it. i did add some light conducting cable to unbalance the light through the condenser and some side lights from led flashlights. I like to use a nearly closed iris diaghragm under the 60x objective. Thanks Finefocus.
