Fern and lichen from my garden

#1 Post by microplan » Tue Sep 21, 2021 9:26 am

Hello.

My attempts to photograph parts of plants.
Pictures A, B, C, D - these are the spores on the underside of a fern leaf.
Photo E – lichen.
The photos are all piles.
Zerene Stacker image processing program.

Breathtaking! What setup do you have?
Are the colors digitally enhanced?

Those turned out quite well, interesting use of lighting and they stacked well. That's quite an interesting perspective on sori.

What microscope are you using and what's the approximate magnification?

Hi,
great photos, especially the stereo pairs! Was this fluorescence of some kind?

Hello

Sorry, but I only have internet access in the early morning or late evening so I reply with some delay.

Smollerthings,

MicroBob,
Francisco
- Thank you very much for the positive feedback on my photos and the time you spent watching them.

Each photo is a stack of several hundred frames. They were created last year.
A, B, E is fluorescence - bravo MicroBob,
C, D - external lighting and multi-colored filters
For the purposes of the forum, I process photos using GIMP.
Stereopars were created using the Zerene Stacker program.
The microscope is an old Zeiss Fluoval. Semiplan 3.2 / 0.10 lens. Pentax apparatus.
I will just add this note that when it comes to autofluorescence, most of the photos are not suitable for publication because not all objects shine nicely.
Today I added a lichen in autofluorescence - I used two different barrier filters.
Sorry for my english but i use translator.

Regards
m.
