Mushroom Cells

In the past I have had trouble seeing the cells of mushrooms. They have very thin cell membranes that are hard to illuminate and everything is typically buried in a mass of thin fibers. But this time I succeeded. Using high contrast techniques I could see two kinds of cells--one looking the the stems of plants and the other looking like the cells of flowers. There were spores all over the place.

Fascinating, thanks for sharing!

Inspired by your video I had a look at a Portobello mushroom (gills) that was in the fridge, took some pics with a 100x/1.25 oil. Yes those spores are everywhere!
