When you carve way all the useful parts of a pepper (red pepper in this case) you are left with a natural seed mount and support structures. This is what I toured this morning. Under a thin protective film, the substrate has a variety of cell structures that resemble the cells in stems, leaves, and flowers of other plants I've examined. There are some areas that resemble underground caverns too.
