Once again I found no large ciliates in my original mudpuddle. What I did find are the very small, sometimes barely visible organisms that are making my mudpuddle what it is, a place of decay. These very tiny organisms are there in great numbers. I follow them into the tiny ponds within the structure of decaying leaves and over the surface of the dark water.
