Yet another Trumpet
Yet another Trumpet
I couldn't resist. I drained a fresh battery in my camera yesterday, and I'm just now getting to what I think is some of my better efforts. I particularly like the "string of pearls" nuclei that show if the focus is just right.

It looked like he was going to end up eating that rotifer!

Wooo. Microscope tech really came a long way. Being able to capture a stentor meowing is a feat!

Just my feline lab assistant voicing his opinion of the proceedings I need to remember to turn the audio off before I embarrass myself.smollerthings wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 11:55 amWooo. Microscope tech really came a long way. Being able to capture a stentor meowing is a feat!

Thanks for that one, Just when I though I couldn't take another cat video after kitty city, which is so nearly all too much ,even on a slow day.
Re: Yet another Trumpet
Thanks, Harold ,an inviting video to enter our microcosmos... all around us. Your 'circular peek hole' format enhances the sense of observations through a portal/window...to our essential microverse communities.
I enjoy the green pigments and pink (?blethrarismen?) pigments of some of that active community your sharing with us.
It is an understated reality of your 'peek-hole' view of our dense and essential microverse ...that when you adjust your image-capture format...these neighbors are all full-frame , totally meshed with our macro-world (?macroverse?)...there is no key-hole barrier between our worlds trophic levels.
Was this a sample of a natural native community ? Is this a mixed sample of a few cultures? Thanks for your microscopy. charlie g
