I snatched a leaf from a planter tray upstairs to enjoy a tour of a new place. The scenery over the surface of the leaf was most satisfying, beauty, subtlety, and variety. The cells had clear texture. There were patterns of cells around breathing holes. The leaf structures were mysterious, inviting questions, or calm and neat like a tiled sidewalk.
