Found my first hydra!

#1 Post by Rossf » Wed May 04, 2022 11:08 pm

I know it’s not that exciting for most but I haven’t been able to find one for years-a lot of ponds where I live get farm fertiliser run off and micro life if very sparse but I found a pond nowhere near any farms and viola..just taken with phone down eyepiece-ignore the framing reticle-haven’t worked out how to remove it yet..these are such fascinating critters

That's awesome! I'd love to find one of those.

Lovely pic too!
Picasso is dead,
Mozart is dead,
Einstein is dead,
And I ain't feeling great.

Cheers FatBassPlayer-keep looking-especially ponds with lilies, aquatic plants reeds etc-they seem to almost always be attached to some plant-they seem to like bladder worts for some reason-probably cos both are carnivores…

Thanks for sharing.
There is so much more to an excellent image than resolution.
The framing adds something of interest, who knows when someone will add it just for the effect.
