There are a lot of apps which claim to do this, but most of them only work well if there is very high contrasts between the colonies and the agar, and if the colonies are regularly shaped. Its great when it works, but I've yet to see one which can truly free us from the drudgery of manual counting.

Just don't use it in clinical medicine in the US as it's legally a medical device and needs FDA 510(K) clearance before it can be used.

With the development of big data technology, this should not be a problem. Face recognition payment has become very common on Park vending machines.....
