A ciliate with what looks like a "tail" seems to have become attached to another body. I can't really tell why. Of course it could be feeding, but, in human terms the tailed ciliate seems to be trying to escape being caught or stuck. Human perception is useless here.

That is actually a rotifer (technically not a ciliate), which used its foot / toe to attach to a substrate as anchor (base) for feeding. More biology here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotifer
