The backyard had two kinds of broad leaf grass, where the green in the leaves was stripped or washed out and the other where the leaves retained the green. What is the difference? The microscope revealed that the structure of the cells was largely unchanged. The chlorophyll seems to have vanished in some cells and not in others with very small change in the structure.
