Some decayed Cockroach part

#1 Post by shawngibson » Sat Oct 03, 2015 12:08 am

Hi all,

New here, know nothing about microscopy yet (have about an hour or maybe two under my belt), but have a fairly decent photography background, and spend a lot of my free time studying the tree of life.

My first image was a disaster. Here is my second image. I am sure in a year from now I'll come back to this post and cringe...

It's some part of a decayed cockroach that I pulled from a trap, 44 images using Helicon Focus. Yep, you'll be seeing lots of cockroach images from me, most likely...

edit: the blue is a Tiffen filter gel above the condenser.

Hello and welcome shawngibson, I have to tell you that this a great forum and if you search it just a bit you will find why:). Good luck with learning microscopy and keep posting the progress.

Regards, Raul.
