My mud puddle culture has matured and articulated after a month or so. Protists have gathered in large numbers to feed on them. Pockets of early-stage biofilm have formed on the surface of the water. Most of the bacteria are still moving independently, have not merged into straight biofilm. I do find packets of mature biofilm floating in the culture, however.
