As autumn matures in the lawn tree leaves, in some areas cells in the leaves become morbid. Some cells remain relatively healthy, maintaining shape and color while other cells quickly dry out, lose their pigment and shape. The living and morbid sections remain clearly demarcated by a sharp dividing line.
