There are a number of plants that go by the common name, "rubber tree." This is an exploration of one--with thick, rubbery leaves. The cells of the leaf are packed with fluid which seeps out when the leaves are cut. As the fluid dries the complex cell structure of the leaf becomes clearer. The rubber plant leaf cell structure is very complicated and hard to simply describe.
