spirostomum teres

I really like filming microorganisms that behave peacefully and allow for long-term observation.
This actor in the foreground looked like some kind of whale that, majestically bending its body, moves through the ocean contained in a drop of water.
This is especially evident in the second half of the film.
I didn't notice it, but I'm convinced that it's covered with numerous cilia that give it movement.
This video is the second fragment cut from a larger whole.
I posted the first part some time ago on the forum.

Very nice video. It certainly has cilia. If you stop your video on a frame at 1:03 you should see them at the upper left.

I saw my first spirostomum yesterday. I tracked it on video, but mine was doing anything but sitting still.
