Small and Very Small Life Forms

#1 Post by DonSchaeffer » Mon Jan 02, 2023 12:12 am

I photographed this sample water droplet from a different place in my mud puddle using the 60x and the 40x objective. I saw only one rotifer, but what I did see were the very small organisms, some ovular forms were quite active and others were mostly inactive. I also saw some very active organisms that were only barely visible even at the higher magnifications and with careful adjustment of the light. What are these very small organisms? They move like protists, not bacteria.
