At this stage in the history of the mudpuddle, big change has clearly taken place. It seems that most of the larger organisms have vanished (not all but most). Interesting in what remains are the extremely small free-moving organisms, smaller than most of the bacteria I have seen and more free-moving. I don't know what to make of them. They are hard to see and were hard to photograph, very small circular-appearing and fast-moving for the most part. These pictures were taken using the 600x objective with a closed diaphragm.
